Summertime Fun

I have lots to add today since I got this idea to use my
new Little Yellow Bicycle to make a Recipe Box
and a few other things.  The colors were super bright and
filled with lemons and watermelons and things that would
be perfect to hold recipes for my summer goodies that I
make when the temperatures are super hot and I would rather
be cooking on the barbeque or making salads.

For this project I cut 2 pieces of paper 12 x 4 and glued them
together and used my favorite Scor tape to hold it on to the
metal lunch tin box that I purchased.
I cut a white Spellbinders scallop and put the word recipes on it
and used one of the clear transparencies by LYB over it.
For the border I used a Martha Stewart punch and glued that on the top and
bottom of the lunchpail and then added ribbons and some of the
flower stickers and buttons that come with the set.

For the inside I made dividers for my recipes
and decorated them with scraps of paper. I can't
wait to put in lots of fun recipes now :)

I was in a creative mood and wanted to find
a few cheap things to create with so I hit the $1 store
and found this cute dry erase board so I created
the backround on a flat canvas board for stability
and added lots of chipboard pieces and used my
handy dandy crop a dile to make holes for a ribbon
at the top to hang it up in the kitchen.  And now here
is a plug for my favorite glue..  I used Scotch quick dry
adhesive to glue all this down and no lie it only took me
about 10 mins to put it together once all the pieces were
cut... it works awesome for flowers too.

Here are a few cards I made with the scraps from
the first 2 projects.  They are super simple from my
normal things but sometimes you need a quick card
to give and its fun to make things to have ready when
you need them for a gift or just to send......

Thanks for stopping by...

Disney magic

I could not wait to post some of the things that I am
making for our Disney Themed area at the shop so
here is 2 of them until I can photograph the rest.
My dream job was designing for disney parades but
being a mom put that on the back burners so this is
the next best thing.... I love making Disney projects and
being so close to that Magical land and the Big Mouse
makes it that much more fun!!!

These are New papers from Creative Imaginations
and they have pirate themes and cars and spaceships
and lots of my favorite mouse too.  You are going
to love this with all the silver on it.  It is sooooo cute!!

This is a fun catch all or candy box that Margaret Young
from Pine Cone Press designed and I made it with
the new Creative Imaginations papers.  It is from a
12x12 piece of paper folded in thirds and folded in on
the ends and held together with 2 metal rings.  I also added
some EK puffy stickers and lots of matching ribbons on
the top with a tag that I made.  I love this and it would
be so cute for centerpieces for a party or just to give as
a gift... It has my mind working overtime... I don't know if
that is a good thing or not...

Thanks for stopping by and check back I will have
lots more Disney and some Princess things too!!

I have lots of new pages to share this week and
there is no rhyme or reason to them other than
I had so many photos that I loved and wanted to catch
up with on a few of them and get them in books before
I go on another trip and have more things to scrap.
And there is so many cute things coming out for CHA
next week I need to get going so I can get some of it!!

This is just a simple page that I did with Basic Greys
new school line.  I really liked the print in the back and
kind of mixed in some lace and ribbon and some of the
extras from another line that went good with it.

This is one of my dogs gettin cooled off for the day
with a bath.  He is such a good dog :)

On this page I layered some papers and stickers from
Echo Park and Basic Grey .  I love snowflakes and only
wish that we had more snow here in So Cal....
This is the back gardens at Sacre Coeur in Paris. We had such
a great time there and the view was just breathtaking!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

I am way late for 4th of July photos but just
remembered I had these and thought it would be
fun to share them.  We went down to Dana Point
to visit with friends and spend a wonderful afternoon
at the beach and got to see some beautiful fireworks
this year.  Someone was playing some patriotic music
on a radio somewhere so it was pretty spectacular
to see all the fireworks and all the boats out
on the water when they all lit up.

We had a really, really wonderful day :)

A Day at the Aquarium

One of my most favorite places to spend a morning is
to go to the Long Beach Aquarium and to Bubba Gumps
for lunch.  We had the chance last weekend and I tried a
different camera to get some photos and they came out
pretty good.  I wanted to scrap them but thought i better just
share and get those done maybe this week.

the jelleyfish were so cool and this one
liked to have it's picture taken :)

The plant life under the ocean can be really
gorgeous and the colors in this were so pretty...

The lighting in the tank made this look like
they were swimming in outer space. It's hard
to believe they are so deadly poisonous....

And lastly this is my favorite!!  I love sea horses ever
since i can remember and these cool little guys can
only be found in Australia... Going to have to go there
for an Aquarium trip I guess along with other things!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs-Teresa
