Card Club for August

I have been out of town on some fun roadtrips to the
Monteray Bay Aquarium and to the river again so
I haven't posted much lately..
(I will post some photos in a day or so of my adventures)

I have been working on lots of projects for a couple
of design team calls and have my fingers, toes and eyes
crossed but it will be a few weeks before they post anything about it.
I will post the things' I did in a couple of days...
I love what I did and only hope they do too!! And....
I would love to say more but don't want to jinx anything :/

So anyway.......
Card Club was really fun this month and we started to get
into the holiday mode a little with some stamps and papers
for fall and Halloween from Basic Grey and Echo Park
and bits of Doodlebug and Three Bugs.
It was a fun and relaxing class and I can't wait to dig into
the fun things from Stampendous for next month.

We are working on Christmas cards with lots of antique
glitz so it should be really fun and I will be sure and
post them to share with all of you....

Thanks for stopping by

Fun New projects

I love this new line from 3 bugs!!  It has some really
fun prints mixed together in some great colors that
are perfect for teenagers and other fun things like cards
and altered art.  My favorite part is the punch outs
because you get lots of borders and flags and little fun
tags to use....  it was so fun!!

I got this inexpensive wood frame and cut out lots of
pieces from the flower page and the layered
design page to create the backround and pop up
some flowers at the edge.  I added a couple of stickers
at the top and at the bottom and then used
my white pearl pen to go around the inside
center of the frame.  To finish it- I used a bit of brown
and black chalk ink around the edges and wha laaaa!

I just used the left over scraps for these 2 cards and added
the stickers for the titles.  I am getting in the habit of using
the scraps so that I don't have lots of little pieces laying
around and I have cards to give when I need them...

I am working on lots of new cards from my New Lily of the Valley
stamps too but will have to post those in a couple of days...

Huntington Beach

One of my favorite places to be is at the Huntington Beach Pier
and yesterday we went for a bonfire
and they had the US Open Surfing Championships going on.
Sadly i missed getting photos of the surfers this time but they had lots of
other things going on and a huge concert!!  It was so fun!

This is a photo on one of the screens between the tents
and you can see why I hung out here!!  One word...gorgeous!!

Ruby's on the pier is one of my favorite places
to eat... The view is awesome!!

There were soooooo many people at the concert!!

As usual all the sand covered food
was great and there were so many
people at the pits by 9.  It was really, really nice
and a little chilly but sitting by the fire is
great and the Semore's were the best!

My little Shoebox Projects

I really like creating with My little Shoebox because
there is lots of product to work with and the pages
usually go together pretty quick and I love how it comes
out in the end.  This set has rolled flowers with it so I
made them for the layout and for the cupcake box
that I am going to teach for a class at the store.

I really love all the colors of this line and all the tags and
the flower stickers made it really easy to put the cards
and the box together in a couple of hours!!  Soooo fun......

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Hugs-Teresa
