Dream Big...

In scrapbooking I think being surrounded by these
amazing quotes by all these amazing people
sometimes has a profound effect on a person.  You
see more and take more in and for me personally
i seem to apply it to my life more.  So with that in
mind I am going to create pages for my kids so
that they too can share in these great words
and hopefully someday they will be great too :)

My page today is using the Sun Kiss Collection by
Prima .  I cut out the white edged piece to make a
frame for my picture. Over that I layered
a square piece of the butterfly print and scraped
the edges a bit to make them more vintage. Then I added 2
pieces of an EK punch out and over that I layered a rhinestone
swirl and lots and lots of flowers. The tiny little white
pearls I made with my Pearl pen and the letters
are from Authentique and Pink Paislee. I am going to put
this in a frame on my family wall so it won't get
crushed and that way I can enjoy all the beautiful colors
and the sunflowers on this page!

I wanted the picture on this to be a little more vintage
so I changed the original color and made it a little
more grainy and not so bright.  It looks better in person
but I think it still looks good.

For this card I let the designs in the paper
guide me to design it. I tried to layer the best
pieces of the papers over each other to make
all the pretty colors of this pop.  I really love the
saying and will have to find someone special
to give it too.

This cards colors remind me so much of rainbow
sherbet.  And I especially love the cabbage roses
on the back round print.  This line from American
craft has tags that are made up already so all I had
to do was add a few extra's to finish it up.

Hope you all had a great weekend and
are getting lots of scrappy things made with
all the new things out from CHA.

Lots of Hugs,  Teres

Sunshine Yellow and Black...

Today I want to share a few things I did
with the New Carolina Breeze papers from
Teresa Collins.  Her papers this winter are just
perfect for family pages and projects and I am happy
to say she really hit a home run.  All the prints are
great to mix and the sentiments are perfect with warm
family inspired words and sayings.  It's amazing!!
But enough of my happy ramblings...

My first project today is a page of my cousin and her DH
and their kids.  The papers went perfectly!  I got the
sketch from Sketchabilities for my page to play along
with them this week.  The sketch was really fun and creative and
it was super fun to mix all the prints --and I am really happy
with the way it came out.  The other side is a beautiful
family picture that my other cousin took all of them.

For the card on this I used a square 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and
layered the smaller squares on top.  For the medallion
I cut and embossed the large doily from my new
Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs S5-041.
The words are a sticker from SRM and I added
and extra white scroll at the top with ribbon to
finish it off.  I really love the yellow and it
really pops and is bright and happy looking!

Card Club this month was early because of the Expo
in Anaheim and we did a little bit of everything out
of lots of bright happy cheery papers for spring.
My favorite was the clear card we did with a butterfly
Momenta stamp.  It was easy and fun and very relaxing!

Thanks for stopping by and have
a very fun scrappy weekend...

Page Maps for March

I have gotten lots done in the past couple of days
and first thing today I want to share my layout
for the Pagemaps Challenge this month.  The
layout was so cute and easy to do and I love
all the little flags on the bottom and of course the butterfly!

I used the New Teresa Collins papers for it since
I need some Blue, Gold and White to do her
graduation picture.  I used a tag for the design behind
the title and changed the picture to one single 4x6 instead.
The 3 labels in the bottom left were made with the
Spellbinders Ornate Artisan Tags and Accents S5-070.
I also added a little bit more golden yellow ink to the papers
to make it more golden in color to match the word tags.
Part of my flower was also made with the Spellbinders
Rose Creation die and I added a rose on top of it and
a tiny little sparkly butterfly.

And I also have 2 cards that I did with some of the
little scraps I had left over.  The first one is a
square 5x5 black card layered with the white and blue
prints from the Everyday Moments collection.  I love
all the prints on this and as much as I don't like
using yellow, I really liked these papers alot.
(The yellow and black projects are coming on Friday)
For this card I used the Spellbinders Fleurs de lis Rectangle S4-317
and embossed it and used a SRM sticker for the sentiment.
I crisscrossed the ribbon and tied a double bow and added a
little heart stick pin to fancy it up a little.  Hope you like it :)

For my next card I made a white A-2 and rounded
all 4 corners.  I used the tiny 6x6 prints of the pad for
the layered pieces and used my Spellbinders Eyelet Squares
S4-305 to make a frame to stamp the sentiment in.  For the
bottom layer I made a border with Spellbinders Classic Petal
Edgeabilites and finished it with a pretty bow
of seam binding in blue.

I really love all the blues of the new collections
that are coming out  this spring and they are really fun to
create things.  So...my next projects are
from her yellow, white and black Carolina Breeze
collection and it was really different but I really liked
what I made.  Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing
what's new in my corner of the world...

Lots of hugs,  Teresa

Family Photo

I recently got this amazing victorian family photo of
my cousins father (my great uncle)
 and his brothers and sisters
so I decided to make it so that I could put it
in a shadow box up on my family wall and I
just love the way it came out.

I used Prima papers
i had with some old lace and pearls and added
lots of pretty flowers.  This side of my family
is from Minnesota and for the longest time
we really didn't know much about them but
thanks to computers everyone is sharing photos
and the puzzle pieces are beginning to make a really
amazing story that I can share with my kids...

Here is a rose that I did with the Spiral Blossom
die from Spellbinders.  I got a few more flower dies so I will show
you some fun ideas to use them for later this week after
i get the pictures done.  They are super easy and you can
make them in lots of different sizes and colors too.

I found this tiny pink flower at a small store in long
beach and finally found a good use for it.  It's really
pretty don't you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by and check again
because i have lots more ideas for this week to
inspire you!

Favorite Color Blue

Sometimes starting a project is from being inspired
by a favorite paper you just bought or sometimes
by something you get like this notebook my husband
gave me from his work.  It was blue and had business
writing on it but then I thought hey... I have my favorite
papers from Authentique that I could use to cover it
and after rummaging around my room I found lots
of little bits of things to use to make this journal for
my road trips this summer.... Fun, fun, fun.... and now
I am ready and I made a couple of cards too from
the leftover scraps that I had.

The flowers and bling I used from
Prima... I soo love these colors...

Sometimes I know I get a little carried
away with putting things on my projects
but this was quick and easy using one of
their tags and to add to the love theme I
added little heart brads in silver on the
corners.  The flower and ribbon
I had in my stash and it worked great.

This card was also inspired by the tag.
It says "The Best and Beautiful Things
cannot be seen... they must be felt within
the Heart"-Helen Keller.  I loved this
so I cut out a Spellbinders die and put it
behind it to fancy it up and added another
tag with the clocks on it to give it a sense of time.
The papers are so pretty all I had to do was
add a fancy bow and some tiny pearls and
that was all it needed.  Hope you like it!

I have lots to do out in the yard this weekend
so I will have some more things in a few days to
share... but until then... happy creating to you :)

Lots of Hugs,  Teresa

Most Favorite Card

I think of all the cards I have done lately this is my
favorite.  I think if you have great intentions and you are
creating for someone special sometimes the magic just happens!!

So this special card is being sent to my Grandmother
who is 95.  I wanted to make her something super special
to send and I found this old Penny Black stamp I had
and created this card for her.  I used Bo Bunny swirl
cardstock for the base and added Doodlebug Valentine
papers.  I also used my Fleur de lis Squares die and lg
Scalloped square dies to create the backround for my
cute little bear that I stamped and embossed and cut out.
For the coloring I used Copic markers and ribbons
from May Arts.  The flower is from Prima and the little
leaves are from a Martha Stewart Punch.  To finish
it I added just a little bit of clear glitter and tiny pearls
around the outside of the scallop die... If you click
the photo you can see the glitter and embossing better!
Isn't she just so very cute?

This fun card was made with one of those stamps you get
in the dollar bin and I used some papers that I found while
cleaning up my room...It's really simple but the papers
mixed nicely and I embossed it so that I could mix and
blend the Copic colors to look more like watercolors.
I had some bakers twine that matched perfect too...

This last card today I thought would be great for
a guy for a birthday.  I have 2 brothers so it would
be great for either and not too fancy or frilly.
The papers for this card are from Websters Pages
mini pad and the stamp is from Hero's New Release.
I love how sometimes you can find the perfect paper
for your stamps and in this case I even had an embossing
folder that I used to spruce up the envelope!  Yay!

So that is it for today... the game was great yesterday
and had our crowd tense until that final throw into
the end zone!! Yikes... It was fun catching up with
everyone and going to spend today finishing a few
projects for Valentines....

Thanks so much for stopping in
and have a great day everyone,
Teresa

More Love coming your way...

So I am back from CHA and rested and filled with
lots and lots of inspiration so I am catching up as always
and doing a few challenges for today... I have a card
for Mojo Monday, a page for Basic Grey and another
page for Becky's Pagemaps contest.  I don't really
care if I win but doing these is an awesome way to get
out some goodies from your stash and make a few much
needed things done for who ever you need them done for!
And I am redesigning my scrapbook room so I am finding
all sorts of things that I forgot I had... so here goes....

First up is a card that I made using an embossed Scalloped
Circle and I added 2 embossed Spellbinders dies
and layered them over it.  I added perfect pearls
in white and finished it with a net and ribbon bow
and 2 crystal stickpins.  The bee mine is from
the coordinating word sheet and I just cut it out and inked
around the edges and popped it up with foam dots.
I like this shape alot and it kind of looks like a doily
when you emboss it with an embossing folder.

This card I made from a Mojo Monday sketch a couple
weeks back.  I had this cute little bee sticker and mixed it
with some Basic Grey and 2 Spellbinders dies. The ribbon
on this is from May Arts.  I love the sheer checks in this
line.  They are super cute to mix with things... It was
quick and simple and now I have a fun card to giveaway
for Valentines... Yay!!

For my next project...
Becky Fleck is posting a contest on Page Maps
and I found this cute sketch which is also showing
pages with Spellbinders dies... I so love this new idea
cause you know how much I love using their products!
I really loved the soft colors of this paper line and it
wasn't too much to do a page about my son.  For the
border on this I zig-zagged around some pink twine
and tied a big bow in the corner..

The Basic Grey weekly challenge this week is to create
any page you want and start with " I love u" so
I created this page of the girls but just changed the
title a little to "I love that we're BFF's".  I am trying
to get a book together for my daughter to keep all the
fun photos of all her friends and family so now I
have 1 more to add to it....This was a really fun
page to use lots of my BG stash and I added hearts
for a border and lots of little flowers and bling to it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you
have a great weekend of creating!!

Hugs,
Teresa
