Lady Antebellum Concert

I got to have a mom and daughter night out to see
one of my favorite bands Lady Antebellum and it was
a blast!!!  They had Darius Rucker headline before
them and also added Thompson Square too!  Yay!!

This was the coolest picture because they asked that
everyone shine their cellphones while they sang..
couldn't help myself but i wish that I could have
had my telephoto lense so that I could have
taken better pictures!!  A-mazing.....

They are such an awesome band and even had the
other 2 acts come back and sing with them... It was
so fun and just a wonderful night with my DD.

My seats were great this time and I think I spoiled
my daughter.... No balcony seats for her anymore :)

Darius Rucker even sang a few songs from
his time with Hootie and the Blowfish!! Very nice :)
sooooo........

After so much fun I need to settle down and start
creating a few things so I better go but have a great
day and happy creating to all of you!

Doodlebug Baby

I am heading out today to sunny Arizona
for a weekend of creating with some
very talented ladies which I will share
with you next week but before I go I wanted
to post a few new things I did....

We just got in the new Doodlebug baby papers
and I made up a few samples to get
everyone inspired like it did for me.  I love
these cute little characters on this paper and they
have lots of tiny prints to mix in with it.  It was
so pretty and cute I am going to have to get a bunch
for me to make as future gifts....so love this line :)

 Love this little monkey girl!

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to
leave a comment.  I love to hear what you think :)

New Spring Cards...

I always feel so inspired when I get a few new sheets
of paper and a stamp or 2 so today I want to share
a few cards that I did with a new Hero Arts
stamp, a Prima stamp, a Technique Tuesday stamp
and a few Spellbinders dies from my stash.
I kind of never know how they
are going to evolve but each one turned out pretty
different and it was really fun making them :)

I buy alot of the 6x6 pads because the prints are so
tiny and you get lots of pieces for just a little bit of money!
I layered 3 different Spellbinders dies for this card.
Grommet Tags S4-322, Scalloped Circles S4-124
and Holly Motifs S5-057 and embossed all of them.
The butterflies I cut out from one of the papers and
stacked them in a line and added tiny black rhinestones
to their centers to make them pop!  It's busy but
in person it is really pretty with all the colors in it :)

This is another card I did with a Spellbinders
Label 16 die (S4-301) And also Fancy Tags 2...
I used one of the Cardabilities sketches this week
to try it out and it worked really great with my
dies. I really like the colors in this line from
Bo Bunny and of course the butterflies too!

This is a stamp that caught my eye from Prima
and it was harder than I thought to get a good print.
You have to be really careful and not push to hard
or ink too much otherwise it turns out really black.
But after a page of trys I got one I liked and used
some pale pink and green Copic markers to color
the flowers in her hair and the ones she is holding.
I used my Spellbinders Fleurs De Lis Rectangles
S4-317 in 2 sizes.  One for the stamp to frame it
and another one in light pink too.  It came out really
old fashioned and I haven't put a saying in it yet
but will when it's time to send it to someone..

My last card for today is one from Technique Tuesday.
They have these really cute eye chart stamps and i thought
this would be fun to make up in the New Teresa Collins
papers out.  I embossed this in black too so that it would
be really black like the papers and added a big bow
on the side out of bias ribbon..
So that is all for today and I hope you have
a great day and create something fun for someone
special that you love!!

Disney Day

There is another cute sketch up at Sketchabilites this week
and I did this cute page of the girls day out at Disneyland.
My niece took them all out for the day at the happiest
place on earth and they had a blast and
I got lots of pictures to scrap with my Disney stash.

I mixed lots of flowers and stickers for this and
painted the white flowers to match.  The big mickey
head in the circle is from a piece of paper and the
say cheese is an old EK sticker that I added white behind
so that it would pop out more.  The white flowers with
the rhinestones are from Petaloo.

Oh and great news from Sketchabilites...
I got the sketch of the week last time and I won
the prize for the random pick #16..  I was sooo
very excited because I never win things... and
i had the most amazing day ever :)

Hope you all have a fun week filled with lots
of smiles like Mickey!

Graphic 45 ideas

There are 3 new releases from Graphic 45 this month and
we got 2 of them so I have a new page and a few cards to
share with you today.. ..

One of their new ones is called Old Curiosity Shoppe
so I took the opportunity to scrap an old family photo
of our family store in Minn.  My great uncles started it
in the 1800's and I have heard lots of stories of the goings on in it
so I needed to get this in my book to remember!  I just love
when I get one of these Victorian photos and it's even better
when my family is in it too...

This is my favorite card of the set because I love the
butterflies and the beautiful colors of this paper
and because of the Spellbinders dies too!
For this I used the Ornate Artisan Tags and Accents S5-070
and Fleur de Lis Rectangles to make it a little more antique
looking I added Chestnut roan ink around all the edges.

This is actually the last card from the scraps but I really
like the way that the papers went together just layering
squares on top of each other.  I just finished it with a bow
and a few clear and black rhinestones and ta da!!
An anytime, anyone kind of card.. Yay!

Love this card too.  It was super easy with
just bits and pieces of papers and to do
something a little different I tied the ribbons
across 3 times to the left.  Love the butterflies!

And last today is a really easy card made with using
the tags.  I didn't want to run the ribbon over the tag
so I punched holes in the card and ran it underneath.
Last i inked the edges and added 3 tiny black rhinestones
and it was all done...

Lots of Hugs and hope you have an amazing week!

How I love flowers

It has been a busy week at the store and we are
getting swamped with lots of boxes filled with
fun product but of course that means I have
to find a place to put it too.  So there is
lots of moving and pricing and making fun
samples up.  Yay, my favorite part....

Today i am showing 2 things
I did quick since I have so many more things
to get out in the next couple of weeks.

We got in lots of canvas to create things to
decorate with so I made this little gifty canvas
to put on an easel that you can give to a friend or
put up in your own house.  I used the Prima mini
pad for the back round papers and added flowers
and layered some Spellbinders die shapes under
the sentiment.  If you click on the picture you can
probably see it better.  I have been messing around
with taking pictures in natural light and it doesn't
always want to cooperate with my artsy vision - big smile :)

Sometimes I like to use the intricate papers as a back round
to save time and money.  I love doing intricate pages
like the sunflower one I did on my last post- so
don't get me wrong- but sometimes you just need to get
the pictures scrapped and in the book right?   So for
this page I cut a circle and made my own doily for the
back round with a corner punch and put the matted
photo on a ledge with flowers and added the glistening
bit of pearls to the bottom.  These papers are pretty
neutral so I added some extra pink and green inks
to the back round with a blending sponge from Tim Holtz.
Total time was only about 20 mins.  Yay!!

Thanks for stopping by and I have lots to make for
this scrappy happy weekend and maybe a possible
trip to San Diego Wild animal park.  It's almost time
for the butterflies and I am sure there is lots of new
animal babies everywhere to take pictures of.

Lots of hugs,
Teresa
