Cardabilites sketch #74 is up....

It's time again for a brand new sketch up on the Cardabilites Blog
today and I took the chance to make up a
Mother's Day card for my mom so I would be ready
for May12 this year :)

so.... here is the sketch for this week...
and here is my card that I made...

She loves roses like I do so I
made it in pretty shades of pink and used the roses
as the border in the design... instead of the tiny banners
I used the tag above it for a sentiment. I also flipped
it sideways so that I could have more flowers on it.
And I used some of my favorite Spellbinders dies to create
the backround for my card.  I used
because of the intricate details that the dies have on them.
The papers are from Bo Bunny and a new LOTV paper pad
that I had. To finish it I added tiny little pearls
around the edges.  I think I am quite happy with
it and can't wait to give it to her with her gift!

Thanks so much for stopping over to see my
card and be sure and check out all the other girls and
the beautiful cards they made this week :)

Love to Swing...

I was cleaning today and found some of my
new LOTV stamps and it has been so long since
i have had my pens out I thought I would make up
a quick card.  I love this stamp because it reminds
me of my daughter when she was little.  She loved
to swing for hours and hours at the park or anywhere
else she could go.  So today this is for her --with
some papers from MME in my favorite colors...

For my dies I used a small label for the backround
in yellow print and layered the Spellbinders Stately Circles
die over it and stamped the cute little girl in black Versamark
and embossed it with detail clear.  This way my image
is nice and clear and I can use markers right away
without it smearing anywhere.  I used a few flowers and ribbon
that I had to decorate the side and the pearls are made from
a Viva Decore pen in cream.. I am running out of
tiny pearls it seems these days.  The cute sentiment is also
from Lily of the Valley and the set is wonderful
because you get so many cute sayings with it. Oh and I almost
forgot to say I used another of the On the Edge dies on my card.
I really like them and they make such
a pretty border for my cards.

I have lots to do so I better go...
thanks for stopping in for a visit and hope that
everything is wonderful in your part of the world :)

Cardabilites Post #73

There is a new sketch up on Cardabilites
today that you can either do alot
or just a little with.  I wanted to add more so I used my
Basic Grey Lucille 6x6 pad and chose some pretty
prints and layered the backround with the pieces to
start my card like the sketch that you see here:
Then I used my flower Spellbinders dies
and created lots of flowers that coordinate with
the papers that I picked. (I love that I can make my
own matching flowers with the dies) and I cut
the tag from Labels Twenty Five and stamped
the sentiment in black Versafine ink.

To put it together I arranged the foliage and
the flowers and tucked in the sentiment piece
and glued it all down.  I used a few extra
little tiny flowers that I had to fill in
some bare spots and that was all it needed.
Now I have a fun card to send out just to
say hi or just say I am thinking of them.  Perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and
don't forget to see all the other girls blogs on the
Cardabilites Team and see what they have
to share this week with all of you!

Have a very good week,
Teresa

On the Edge....

Today I just wanted to share another of my favorite dies
out this season from Spellbinders paper Arts.
They are these super cute and easy to use
On the Edge border dies and you get 9 different styles in the set.!!
And they are just perfect for cards...

For my card that I made to share today
I used the hearts and mini scallops to create a border
on the side of the card and also used
my other favorite circle die called Stately Circles
for the sentiment medallion in the center.

The papers are from Basic Grey and
I even had one of my homemade roses to pop
on the card in my stash along with the pearls.
The stamp is from a LOTV sentiment set that
I got and the ribbon is from Sharon's Stamp Simply Ribbon
online store.  Just to give her a little shout out
she has amazing things and ribbons of all kinds so
be sure and check her out if you ever need anything!

And lastly here are the dies so you can see how cute
they are and how many wonderful and adorable styles
that you get in the set... so cute and you know i will be
using these lots more!  Thanks so much for stopping
to get inspired today and if you can't find the dies in
your local store you can order online too.

Hugs and lots of Smiles today,
Teresa

Spring is here...

I am finally out in the yard and doing lots of gardening
since the weather is so great.  I am battling gophers eating
my flowers but I explained to my cats that it is very ok
to chase them away from the planters and they just smiled :)
and helped keep me company while i dug up the weeds...
they are very helpful sometimes!

Today I want to share a card I made with one of my favorite
dies from CHA.  I have some extra time now so it's my chance to
get a few things made to send out to everyone.

One of my favorite dies this time is called
Filigree Delight.  It is the perfect size for a frame
for a photo or just maybe to stamp a beautiful
sentiment in and decorate with lots of flowers
and foliage that you can create with the dies.
For my flowers and the swirl I used the
I stenciled the flowers with Tsukineko ink in yellow
and added cream liquid pearls around the edge of
the frame, the butterfly and the flower
to make it a little bit fancier.

The embossing on this is really, really pretty
don't you think?  I love using Spellbinders dies
because they let you create such fun and beautiful projects
with little or no effort at all... Yay for that!

Well that's it for today because
I have to get back out before the sun goes down
and get some more weeds pulled.  Hope you
have a wonderful day and take care,
Teresa
