Vintage LOTV card and Bo Bunny...

Here is another card that I did with some new Bo Bunny
papers and a couple of my favorite dies from
the last release at the Spellbinders Winter CHA...

LOTV has a totally different style in their
last release and the stamps have fun tags and
little bits that you can do in all sorts of colors
and styles.  I bought a few of them that you can
see right here.. and mixed them with the
Timeless Rectangles and 5x7 Detailed Scallops Dies.
The rose tag in front is the stamp and I inked
and layered it over the other papers.  And I added
lots of flowers and leaves and a cute little
birdcage charm that I had in my stash..

It's something different and it's always fun
to play and mix up the papers and dies
and see what happens.. Thanks for
stopping over and hope you like it.

New Baby Card with LOTV

We had some wonderful news of a brand new baby
for our friends kids making them first time grandparents
so I got out my new LOTV stamps from the new
release and made up a quick card with my Spellbinders too!

This is one of my favorite sayings and it fit perfect
inside the Spellbinders Filigree Delight die set. The papers
are from the new Petal Fresh 8x8 pad and the colors
and patterns were just perfect for the card.  I thought
layering it with kraft would give it more of a little baby
boy look and I found this cute little bear embellishment
that went really well with it.

Now all I have to do is
shop for an adorable outfit or something and get it
off into the mail!  So very excited for them and their
beautiful new baby boy!

Thanks for stopping in.. Happy Monday :)

Fun with embossing...

So the other day I was looking for something special in my local
craft store and came upon the markdown area.  I found
a cute frame and some kraft flowers each for $1 so I thought
lets see what i have at home and what i can put together.
And I have time to do something so this is what I made.

To make the flower frame
I used some scraps of kraft paper I had and drew out
the shape of the frame and embossed it with my
big Spellbinders M-bossabilites folder called Garden Lattice.
This I glued down and let it dry so I could sand the edges.
And then I inked around all of it with my
chalk ink from Tsukineko... love the gingerbread color!

One very cool thing about their folders is that you get 2
designs in one folder.. You just flip it the other way and
the other design is on the other side.  It's really neat
and it saves lots and lots of space....

A really fun trick to making the designs pop is to just
take a chalk ink and run it carefully over the top so that
the designs are nice and shaded.  This was the perfect
pattern to use and I added black lace with scor-tape to the
outside and then a thin band of black printed cardstock
on the inside rim with scor tape.  The ribbon is black
seam binding and I inked the sale flowers that I got to match
and tucked in some leaves to fill in the gaps.  It needed
just a thin piece of ribbon on the inside edge and that was
all and I am really happy with the way it came out.
It's kind of vintage looking western and I really love
all the texture that it has... I am not a flat paper kind of
gal and I think that is why I love Spellbinders so much..
It's pretty much in my blood now so you will always
see something from their amazing line of craft dies and things.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!!
Hugs,  Teresa

New Penny Black Dalia stamp

I had some time today to do a quick card to send and
I used one of my new Penny Black stamps and
colored it with Copics and some Distress inks.

I really need to color more and get back into
practice but it was fun to do to play...
The stamp is called Sweet Dalia and is one
of the new releases they just came out with.
.. This would be a fun card to change up and
do the flower in different colors and backrounds too.

Next weekend is card club so I will have lots to
share this week so be sure and check back to
see some more fun ideas.

Have a nice weekend... Teresa

Playing along with Sketchabilites today...

Since I got scads of photos printed last week and a
beautiful new sketch is up on Sketchabilites-- I
thought I would play along and get some more
pages done while my mojo is still working good!!

Here is Karan's sketch...

and here is my page that I did...

This is a picture of my DD and her friend
on her birthday at Disneyland. They are both so funny
and fun to be around and we had a really great day
celebrating with her.  The papers I used are from
Bo Bunny and are from the Prairie Chic line which
fits my baby girl pretty good I think! The sketch was
really pretty and made it easy to put my page
together quick and I got to use a little paint too!

I fussy cut lots of the tags and goodies that I had
on the paper to create the flower cluster that she had.
And I inked some prima wood leaves to fill in the spots.

I am still trying to use what I have around and mixed
some Bo Bunny letters and Authentique letters from
my stash. I love the colors and it was really fun to do.
Thanks for stopping over and have
a really nice day !

Recipe file

I was looking through some pictures that
I had and found this fun Recipe Card box that
i did out of some of my favorite Best Creation
papers.  I love the glittery dots on this paper line
and it made it so easy to cover this yucky dollar
store box that I got and make it pretty enough
to give as a present filled with yummy recipes.

It even has some of my first and one of my most favorite
Spellbinders dies on the front, Scalloped ovals!!  Tried
and true they are still my favorites to mix with other dies.
I used some big apple green grommets to tie the sheer
green ribbon around the box and the letters are
adhesive black ones by Mrs. Grossman. The flowers are
Flora Doodles and i mixed them with some Prima flowers.

I still love using embossing folders and I used a
really simple edged one to make the cards for this.
I also used the dotted paper to mat it so they
would be really cute on the other side too.
The little flower border is from EK and I punched
a big 12" piece and wrapped it around the top
and bottom of the box to finish the edge.

Thanks for stopping over and hope you all had
a really fun day celebrating with the dads in your life
today.. Ours was great and we finished with a fun movie
and a yummy chocolate cake for dessert!

Have a wonderful day :)  Teresa

CSI Case File #75

I  really miss doing Debbie's CSI casefiles and today I
decided to get one finished and start doing lots more to
get some pages done for my books.  This weeks file
has lots of pretty colors to use and inspiration and I really
had fun with it. My cousin posted a photo of her and her
husband and they celebrated their 28th weddding anniversary.
I didn't get to go then but it was so nice to see the picture
and they really haven't changed much in all that time...

Here is the case file photo...

and here is my page that I finished

I used some of my Prima papers and flowers that I had
for this and lots of other little goodies to add for the
evidence and testimony. I think the only thing I didn't get
on the page is a ruffle but I did a pretty good job. On the backround
I cut and embossed some of my favorite Spellbinders Grand Decorative
Circles and Stately Circles.. They have the prettiest edges and
are perfect to start my pages with...

For the title I needed to do a banner so I mixed in
the hearts and added the I do letters and a few pearls tied
with a gold string... I really like it :) and
it was really fun to figure out how to get in
everything on the list as usual.. You are awesome Debbie!

The flowers are a mix of alot of things that I had and
I tied in some lace and used wood leaves and butterflies
and then added a few Prima jewels to make it sparkle.
I am going to frame it and give it to her for a present so
I slipped a tag I did from a Spellbinders label die so that
she can write something special about that day and
it will be a very special memory for her and her husband.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fun weekend!

Spellbinders and Canvas...

I love working on Canvas and painting and mixing lots of
different medias on them and today I want to share a fun one
i did in the Spellbinders Gallery! Yay!! They have these beautiful
mini dies out called Die Delights and they have the cutest fun
shapes to create with that you can see here...

To start my project I tore and inked some paper for the
backround and stamped some chain with a Bo Bunny
stamp I got.  I layered the Basic Grey papers and embossed
a piece to to layer over some lace.  The gate was my focus
so I actually cut 2 layers of it and glued it together and
them inked over it and embossed it with clear to make
it more shiny.  I wanted to create a tiny rose garden around
it so I fussy cut some flowers and added a die cut swirl
from the Flowers and Florishes die set and some extra
little flowers to tuck in the sides.  I also added a little
flower from Bo Bunny in glitzy brown rhinestones to match
with the centers of the flowers .  It was really fun and I love
to make these to decorate my house with little sayings
that keep me cheerful and thinking amazing positive thoughts!

This is another 6x6 canvas that I did a while back and
it seems like a great time to share it with my other one.
It too uses lots of Spellbinders dies for the base and I used
some Prima flowers and Zva bling for the rest.  This is
a great way to make gifts and decorate and use up
some of the odds and ends you have laying about your craft
room!  Still working on lots of things for Spellbinders so I have to go but
I hope you get inspired to make one up and thanks
as always for stopping in to see what's new :)

My New File Folder Class with Bo Bunny

I had to share my new File Folder Class that I just taught
this last Sat because I really love the papers that we used and
how it came out.  Each month I teach 1 or 2 new ones with
different themes and this time I designed one for 4th of July
and you can also use it for fun picnic photos!

The new patriotic line out called Anthem is just beautiful!
It's filled with bright colorful designs and has lots
of tags and cut out perfect to make our file folders with. We also
used the stickers they had and fun patriotic letters with it.

I so love designing these files because there is so
many places for photos which I usually end up with
alot of.. So the flaps go up and there is pockets
for photos and journaling too!

Our next class is going to be on Sat. July 20 and we
are doing a Simple Stories file for everyday family
and a Teresa Collins travel file.  Be sure and call
Hearts N Crafts to sign up, it should be really fun!

Thanks for stopping over and have an amazing week!

Dressing up my desk today...

Hi Everyone,
We are super busy creating for CHA so my post today
is something that I did some time back to fix up my desk
in my scrap room that i was redoing.
I had some things laying around but thought i would
pretty them up with papers and flowers and bits of ribbon.
It was really fun and now I can use it everyday for
my projects that I have in the making!

I made a simple folded desk calendar using the
Timeless Rectangles dies mixed with my favorite
French Frills Die set.  The mini calendar I got online
and the beautiful roses are made with the Bitty Blossoms
die set from Spellbinders.  I love this die because it gives
you so many options to personalize your flowers for
things that you create.  You can even mix it in the centers
of the Carnation Creation dies too.  Be imaginative and
have fun with it and see what happens...

For my note holder I had an old brown paper one that
I covered in pretty papers and made matching flowers
for the top of it too.  The post-it fits perfect inside of it.

And lastly my metal pencil holder needed a bit of
sprucing up so I covered it in paper too and added
a base with 2 layers of Lacey Circles dies.  Of course
I had to make some more flowers for this too and added
a pretty piece of pink ribbon to match the other pieces.
I hope you like it and will inspire you to fix up and
recycle some things you might have laying about.

Thanks so much for stopping by
and hope you have a really nice weekend!!

Cardabilites has a new post up today..

So sadly this is my last post this time for Cardabilites so I wanted
to make it a really pretty one.  I have lots of things going on now but
I am sure going to join along on the sketches each month
just because they are always so pretty and fun!

So here is the beautiful sketch that Karan designed
and that we get to work with this time and down below
is my card that I did for it!  I really like it!

The papers I used this time are from one of my
very favorite companies.. Bo Bunny
This is the Cest La Vie Paper line and the cute border
in the middle is actually on one of the papers. The
backround blue and brown papers are cut and embossed
with the 5x7 Matting Basic dies.  Aren't they neat?
I used my On the Edge dies to make the heart
border and added some lace on top of that and then
added the pretty metal frame for the back that
I had in my stash.  I think it looks good behind
the Labels Twenty tag.

For the words on my tag i used a stamp from Vintage
Greeting from TPC Studio and used Coffee ink and
clear embossing powder and then cut it out and glued it.
The flowers are a mix of things I had and I layered them
to make the flower spray.  Last but not least I added
tiny little pearls and some greenery for it.

Thanks for stopping over and love, love, love to
hear from you and where you are from.  I think
that is the part I love best about this!
Have a really wonderful day,
Teresa
