For the rest of my life...

Hi again and thanks so much for stopping over today.  I have another Quietfire Design card today to share and this one i also made with one of the new Wedding lines from Ruby Rock-it.  It's a really pretty line of paper called New York and it's filled with lots of pale shades of aqua, black and white and went perfect with the stamp i chose to use for today.

To start my card I found a gate card base in my stash that was white so that is how i began.  I cut rectangles of printed paper to fit both sides of the gates and then made a smaller square to fit inside and match the die that i was using for the sentiment.  I cut 2 layers of the fancy die in white and put 3D foam dots in-between them to make the lace stand out more.  Then before i glued it to the base i wrapped a band of white ribbon around the card and secured it in the back.  The flowers and pearls i added last as my finishing touches.  The sentiment really speaks for itself i think..... it's beautiful.

You can find the stamp in the Quietfire Design store called "For the Rest of my Life".  I love Suzannes' stamps and dies... the sentiments are always so heartfelt and come out so beautiful when you create things with them.  And it's calligraphy and i love that part too!!

I also used Ruby Rock-its new "New York" Collection and you will have to stop over
and see all the other gorgeous things they have new for all those weddings you have coming up.

Thanks again for stopping over and i have lots more to share so i hope to see you soon :)

Autumn is my favorite season...

It's been long time since i have done a post here on my blog.  With my mom passing away and my daughter getting married to the love of her life 2 weeks ago my life was pretty busy to say the least.  But i had time the other day and was working on using some of the new Quietfire Design stamps that i just got so i thought i would start sharing a few with you all.

I wanted just something simple for my card.  I love to walk out hiking among all the trees in fall and see all the beautiful colors they are and how they crunch under your steps.  So i just cut a few leaves from metals i had in my stash and then put them on a simple white back round matted in colors of fall.  For the stamp i used Momento ink in Expresso truffle and inked around the tan card stock in Gingerbread to make it stand out.

The stamp is really pretty and they are others in the times of each season so i am getting on top of those and creating something fun with each of them to share with you all soon.

If you would love to buy the stamp be sure and stop over to the Quietfire Design store and

Thanks so much for stopping over and be sure and check back again soon.

Hoarders Hop for Fall today....

Hi everyone and welcome to our Hoarders hop for fall.  We have lots of fun projects to share with you so be sure and stop on each of our blogs to see some fun inspiration for the months ahead.  I am decorating for Halloween and fall so i have a few things that I whipped up this week.

If you started the hop from the beginning you should have come from Ambers blog....

I have lots and lots of fun Halloween things in my stash so for the first one i dug out some pretty green and orange papers with a fun tag.  I had these really neat eyelash yarn in my stash too and it looked alot like creepy spider webs so i tied that on for bows.

And for this one i got out some of my favorite Graphic 45 papers and made this fun little Halloween card.  I love the colors of this paper collection too and all of it goes great with what i already have so it's going to look really good when i decorate this week.  The bottles i did too with a digital design from Crafty Secrets Halloween file .. These were really fun and cheap to make and i even found some creepy charms that i tied on the tops to add even more Halloween spookiness.

And for this project i has a really neat Kaisercraft stamp about clocks so i worked my papers to go with it.  It's Halloween paper but it would be a great card to give someone just to think of them.

And here too i dug into my charm box and found a cute clock to tie at the bottom.  I know the perfect person to give this one to.

So it's time to hop along again.... be sure to hop to Donna's blog next
And back to Gloria's if you want to start at the beginning..

Thanks for stopping by and have a fun and crafty week.

I know it's national card making day but i just couldn't resist using this tiny wood frame that i found this last week at my local hobby store to make a pretty off the page project and a card too.  The tiny wooden frame was the perfect size to use for the new sentiment and it would be a great gift to give too.

The new stamp is called "Sometimes I just look up" #6252.  I used both blue and white chalk paint to paint the 6" wood stand itself and then also painted a pretty chipboard frame from Gypsy Soul Laser cuts that i had in my stash.  Then i stamped the beautiful sentiment on white and used a circle die to cut it out.  To assemble it i glued on the circle to the back and then used 3D foam mini squares to add the frame to make it stand out.  Then i added some ribbon, flowers and pearls to the frame and just a bit of shimmer spray to make it glisten.  I think i might have to go back and get a few more of these little frames.... they would be perfect for all the Christmas sentiments that Quietfire has.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure and hope over to Suzanne's blog to see what she has to share!

Happy Hopping!  Good luck!

Creating just for me...

It's been a busy month and summer is starting at the park so there are lots of wonderful people coming in from around the world.  It doesn't leave me much time to craft these days but it's fun to squeeze in something fun so i made up these letters to go in my crafty room.

For my project i pulled out lots of my favorite Prima things to decorate up the letters.  Everything leads to some kind of inspiration with what you do and some of the things i ended up using and some i will save for another project.  But it's fun to start with lots and see where it takes you and i really had lots of fun doing this and that is what is most important.

So the wooden letters i got from my local crafty store really cheap and i painted them first with white chalk paint and then sanded them all around and smoothed out those rough edges you see.  Then i traced around each of them onto pieces of a Salvage District 6x6 pad in different patterns.  I cut them slightly smaller and then sanded again around all the sides with a nail file.  I wanted the papers to be really neutral so this paper line was just perfect.  Then i could added stamping and stenciling to it and it would really stand out.

For these 2 letters i chose pretty pink flowers and little bits of stenciling in white gesso.  I also painted one of the wood key pieces white to use on it.  If it doesn't match you can always paint it or chalk it to match so don't let all those pretty things in your stash stay unused ok.  Have fun and think outside the box when you work with your stuff.  And you never know what can happen and you will use up some of those things you have been meaning to use in your stash.

On my letter A i wanted to add the new little mini dots from Prima... these give it such a fun texture and it doesn't over power it.  I love this paper and all the flowers look so pretty on it.  I wished i had more flowers to use but i think i will go on a buying trip and get a few more for it and add them later.

For this letter E i used the pale white paper and then stamped it with a border stamp in a very light grey ink.  I also found these cute distressed hearts in the wood embellishments from the set so i used 3 of them on each of the letters.  And I tied a bit of the yarn on it just because.

And here is my letters all out on the table.  I am going to put them above the window in my room and maybe make some prettier curtains to go under them now.  Seems like every project turns into another one.  There are some fun new DIY furniture things in Prima i would love to try so maybe that
will be next on my list.   Thanks for stopping over and have a really wonderful day!!

Supplies needed for this project:

Flowers
white chalk paint
Wooden letters
scissors, nail file, adhesive (beacon 3 in 1)
White gesso

Craft Hoarders Hop for June...

Thanks so much for stopping over today for our Craft Hoarders hop.  If you started at the beginning then you should have hopped over from the talented Wendi Robinson's blog.  And if you want to start at the beginning then please hop over to the talented Gloria Stengel to see what she has to share today with all of us.  We have lots of fun things to share today so be sure and stop by everyone to see.

Today in my crafty part of the world i have lots of cards to share.  A few of them i did for Spellbinders and loved them so much I thought this would be fun to pass on the ideas to all of you.  For this card i used one of my very favorite dies that has a kind of lattice look to it. It's super fancy so i just used some white card stock and also bits of pink that i had in my stash.  The birthday wishes is from Penny Black sentiments and is also one of my go to sets that i have.  I really love this one and how it came out.  Pink is one of my very favorite colors :)

My next card is also using a lattice type die from Spellbinders and with this one i mixed kraft papers and embossed them with an embossing folder for texture and then layered on the dies in ivory and kraft.  The writing paper is from Canvas Corp and goes really good for a backround on lots of things. I always keep these kind of papers for emergencies.  And to finish it i just added a tiny punched tag and a pretty satin sheer ribbon bow.  Super simple but the dies really make it amazing.

And then i got out some pieces of Doodlebug that i had left over from a class that i taught a while
back.  This one was just fun to mix and match all those amazing bright and cheerful prints that i
love so much from them.  I added a few Spellbinders dies in the layers but it's mostly all the stickers
and papers that come in the birthday set they had.

And lastly for today i made this card using a kaisercraft embossing folder that i got and added black cardstock in between and for the Eiffel Tower on the front.  This little die is new from Spellbinders and you can find it on the website.  It even has a cute little poodle in the set you can use.  And the sentiment was also in my stash and is just a sticker that i put on white cardstock and then cut it out.  It's super simple but it was fun when all those bits from my stash went together to make something fun i could give away.  That is why i love to do this so much and i hope you got a few ideas today and are ready to hop to Donna's blog......

Thanks so much for stopping over and be sure and leave a comment if you like what i shared.  I always love to know who stops over and would love to visit you too :)  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

God grant me the serenity card...

I had a great weekend off from the castle and a chance to create a few things to share
with my favorite dies that i have from Spellbinders.  Today i used the Regal Allure die
and also the Diamond Essence die set.  I think the two went pretty good together and i
know exactly who i need to give this one to.

My papers are ones that i digitally printed from my Crafty Secrets CD.  I picked pretty pinks with roses on them and then did clean white paper for the dies.  The Regal Allure die also has an insert
but i cut it out to show the back of the papers and turned it in the center.  Then i cut the biggest
circle die in the Diamond Essence and stamped one of my favorite Quietfire sentiments in
a mixture of Momenta Rosebud and Rhubarb stalk.  It came out good that way and matched
up with the paper so much better.

Then i added a few 3D Foam dot from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and put it all together.

The flowers at the bottom are from Prima and i also added punched leaves and some tiny
pink rhinestones.  And then i dusted the whole thing with a bit of pixie dust glitter.  It's hard
to see but it has such a pretty sparkle to it.

Supplies:

Quietfire Gentle Thoughts Sentiment #5875
Spellbinders Regal Allure and Diamond Essence die
Momento Ink: Rosebud, Rhubarb Stalk
Prima Flowers
pink rhinestones
Pixiedust glitter
White cardstock, digital papers
adhesive, papers trimmer, 3D foam squares

And... that's it for today.  Have a wonderful rest of the week!!

Just Breathe....

Happy Tuesday everyone and thanks for taking the time to stop over to visit and see what is new.  Today i have a card to share using some Prima that i just got and the sentiment is perfect to describe how life is these days.

For some cards i am trying to make them easier and use what the artists have given me to
create with.  So for this i used the die cut with the sentiment and then just cut simple layers
with the Salvage District 6x6 collection pad.  I love the beautiful neutral tones in this paper and
the glittery look of the sentiment was so pretty....

To make it just a bit more twinkly i added some pixie dust glitter in a few places and also
the mini dots in aqua and pink to match it.  And of course a few prima flowers that match.

*Sometimes life throws you curve balls but it's important to remember to breathe, relax and
figure out a better way to look at life and handle those really hard situations.  This one is going
up on my wall to remind me each day.... to breathe.

Thanks for stopping over and have a wonderful day...

Prima Bag Tags to share today...

It's National Scrapbook day today and there are so many fun challenges and things to do today for inspiration so i thought i would share my bag tags that i just finished with some new Prima papers and other goodies that i just got.  It was a really fun and relaxing project to make and I had fun trying out a few new products that they just came out with so i hope that you like it too.

For my project i used the new Prima French Riviera collection.  This is a super cute 6x6 pad collection that even comes with letter stickers and tags in it.  I also used the Ephemera set that had so many pretty images like clocks, crabs, lighthouses and other fun goodies to use.  I also used
a few of the lazer cut wood pieces for a little more of a 3 D look.  And of course flowers and
a new stencil that i picked up.  There are so many new artsy products that they carry at Prima
and i am really having some fun trying them out and making fun things with them.

So here is a quick photo of how i kind of started the tags.  I layered bits of the papers to make the
base of the tags about the size of a bookmark and then stenciled a bit of ? on the one at the right with my new stencil and added some of the new art stones they have onto it and pushed them in.  I thought it would really give it a more sandy kind of look and it was fun to experiment.

Here is a closeup photo of the tags all done and you can see all the pretty pieces of this set.
The colors in the papers are so pretty and the flowers have these pretty bronze beads in each
of them and really look so pretty. I also love the ocean designs --- it reminds me of Long Beach
and Dana Point and all the fun places we go when we are down there.

Prima also carries a fun set of Mica flakes so i picked up one of those sets and the pink
one went great with this line so i added bits of it with some liquid adhesive all around.  You
can barely see it but i think it adds that perfect touch to it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have fun making some fun crafty
things today with whoever you are with!!

Craft Hoarders Hop for May today...

Hi everyone and thanks so much for stopping by today with our Craft Hoarders Hop for this month. We all have lots of fun projects that we did with things in our stashes so i hope that you will have a chance to stop by all the girls blogs and see what they have to share.  If you started from the beginning you should have arrived here from Patti's blog.....

My post today is sharing 3 cards that i did with some of my favorite dies from Spellbinders in my stash of dies.  I have so many that i want to use so I thought today would be a good time to start!

For this card i used little bits of things that went with this heart paper and the sticker sentiment.
The die for this one is called Swirl Delight and is a Die D'lite and it fit perfect behind the sentiment that i also matted in gold.  I found some bias ribbon in my stash from Really Reasonable Ribbon
and also a bit of gold thread and a gold rhinestone that i had too.

This one too is from a bunch of different things i found while cleaning up my scrapbook room.  I
love the poppies and thought it would be fun to cut them up and create a little bouquet on a
few layered Spellbinders dies that i had.  One of them is called Diamond Essense and the other is another favorite called Doily Die and you can find them on the Spellbinders website.

Another new die is called Ferns and is a Die D'lite too.  It's fast becoming one of my
favorites because the size is perfect for flowers and there are 3 styles in it so it's perfect
to add extra foliage to your flowers.

This is made with one of my favorite new Spellbinders dies called Labels 50 and it's companion
die called Labels 50 Decorative Accents.  The base is made with an embossing folder from
Richard Garay's line and since all of it had so many beautiful details i decided to do it in white
so that all of it would really stand out.  I also put a few Ferns in it from the die set and added a
pretty flower and bow from my stash of goodies that i have.

The Heartfelt thanks is from Verve Stamps and i just found that one again too while i was
cleaning and straightening up this last week and it went perfect.  I used my favorite black ink
from Tsukineko (Versafine) and that was it.  Super easy and ready to give to my friend.

I hope everything gave you a little inspiration to create a few things and maybe something
nice for your mom this Sunday too.  Thanks so much for hopping over to my blog today
and be sure and hop on over to Jacquie Southas blog to see what she has to share....
and if you want to start at the beginning be sure and go to Gloria Stengels blog :)

Have a wonderful and crafty day!!

Die D'lites are my favorites

Today i have a post to share of something i did up on the Spellbinders blog awhile back.
They carry lots of these cute little dies called Die D'lites and i was playing with some one
day and it was neat because they fit perfect inside of these little tray spaces.  And so it began..

I started by picking some of my favorite photos for some of the spaces and then
picked papers from Teresa Collins set with lots of happy yellows, white, grey and
just a tough of black.  I layered lots of the pieces and tried to make something fun that went
with the Home Sweet Home theme in each rectangle and it was really fun to make.  These are
so good for digging in your stash and using up all the bits and pieces that can go with another
project that you are doing.  And you use up lots of things so you can go buy more right?

Here is a quick closeup of the title and the pretty Spellbinders die that i used.  Love, love
love this one like all the others and the detail is always amazing.

Thanks so much for stopping over today and be sure and stop over
again to see what's new on my side of the continent!!

Cute little chipboard pin...

Today i have another Spellbinders project to share with you all that i did a long while back--
it was one of my favorite things that i made so i thought i would bring it back out again to
share and maybe give you a little inspiration for make jewelry with the dies.

This is actually pretty small, it's only about 4" x 4" but it was really fun to do with a little
paper and bling and it started me back on making jewelry again.

The pieces for the base are chipboard from Want2Scrap that match the Spellbinders dies
and i painted them white and then cut a few more pieces to go with it like the top one from thin chipboard i had in my stash.  The flower i made from Donna Salazars rose die and added
some bling and a bit of tulle.  Oh and a few pearl drops all around it.
And then to finished it i sprinkled on some chunky glitter and that was all it needed.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by today for another quick idea!

Big Hugs and Smiles.... Teresa

Decorative Vase to share with you...

It's monday and time for another share of one of Stacy's new dies.  She has some brand new
band type dies that you can use for all kinds of projects and this one i really loved and made
a band that ties on the sides around a vase that i picked up at IKEA.

This die is called "Art Deco Arched Diamond" and has really gorgeous details in it.  I inked
the die with embossing ink while the paper was in the die and then added that pretty red
glitter embossing powder to it.  Then i took away the die and embossed it and this is how
it came out.  I made two of them and tied both sides with ribbon to attach it to the glass.

These would be so gorgeous on a table centerpiece for a wedding or even for
a special party that you are throwing.  It's really, really gorgeous and very easy to do.

So thanks again for stopping and i have more to share this week so hope you
can stop over again... Love, love, love these new dies!!

Art Savoy Die Set

To end the week i am sharing one of my most favorite sets that i did with one of my favorite new dies.  This one fit a box that i already had in my stash perfectly so i went ahead and made a card to got with it too. I used just pinks again and ribbon to match so it went together really easy.

The die set for this one is called Art Deco Savoy Decorative Elements and was designed by the
amazing Stacey Caron herself.  This one has the most beautiful and intricate embossing and debossing in it and i really tried to layer the papers on it to make it stand out.  The dies in her new
sets are so gorgeous and each one has such amazing detail in them of the Art Deco period.

For the box i did a quick wrap around the base and covered the top and sides with layers
of the dies and some small bits of ribbon that i had in my stash.  This one i can't wait to
give out for something special.

Be sure and check out Stacey Carons's other new dies that came out on the website and be sure
and check back again for more from her new collection from me :)  Have a very
wonderful and crafty day and thanks so much for stopping by to see what is new with me.

Wedding Invitation to share today...

Today i have another quick post to share with you using another of the Becca Feeken
dies from Spellbinders that i love.  This one is a beautiful pocket die and i did a
very special and old fashioned wedding invite with it.

The die is called "Cascading Grace Pocket Etched Die set" and you can get it over
on the Spellbinders website super easy.  I wanted to really make the intricate designs
pop on this so i kept it really simple to make and used only pink and white cardstock.

For the invite i created a fold over card with the top piece of the die in white and that way
i can put information about the wedding inside of the card.  And inside i just did an embossed
pocket without cutting it and used that to layer in the reception cards and directions.

I hope you like it and be sure and check out Becca's other dies here.  You will love them!!

Spellbinders Favorites to share

Recently we were given the go ahead from Spellbinders to share a few of the things that we did for them.  And after 4 years of amazing craftiness i have lots of favorites to put up to share.  Every Tuesday i will share a few things and the dies i used to create them.  Stacey was such an incredible person to be able to work for and i was lucky enough to be picked by them so i think this will be fun.

Some of my most favorite dies in the world are designed by Becca Feeken.  She has an incredible way of designing and creating beautiful things with her dies so it's a little stressful when i set out to make something with them but i think i did ok with this set.  This one is on the website right now I think and since we were always challenged to think outside the box i went for a vellum lantern for this one.

I love the intricate embossing and to make the debossing on the pattern stand out i added a bit of ink to that part of the die while it was still in it.  The corners for this one are the leftover pieces from the inside center of the die.  I cut them in half and then again.  Then i scored them and folded them to reinforce the edges and to glue on the side pieces.  The bottom is another die that i chose because the edges just went perfectly with all of it.  And it looks so pretty with an electric candle inside.

For my frame i used the same die and inking on it but added the center piece with a beautiful sentiment.  I can't say enough about her dies and how gorgeous they can make something look.  Simple paper becomes something amazing just by cutting it with one of her dies.

And lastly this one is a bridal shower card.  I layered the dies in subtle colors of aqua and added some pretty ribbon to match and also a few clear rhinestones.  I really, really love the way this one came out.  And it was fun to make so that makes it even better.

To see more of Becca's dies you can visit here on the SB website.

Thanks for stopping over and be sure and check back again next Tuesday!!

Time for the Craft Hoarders April Hop...

It's time again for the Craft Hoarders Hop and i have a fun project to share that i did for one
of my bosses at work.  I used to teach these fun little mini books at the store and i found a
bunch of things that i had from one of them so i added a few more stickers and came
up with the Disney Flip book for lots of pictures of the people who work for him.

Here is the front page of the folder.  I used Simple Stories papers and layered them with
a few stickers that i had in my stash.  The folder is also from my stash and the yellowish
color worked perfect for the base of it. It is smaller too than the regular file folders so it
went together pretty quick.

And here is a closeup of the front... If you work for Disney you totally get the part
about the Magic.  It's the most amazing place to work and you meet so many incredible
families from all around the world... i am pretty lucky to be able to work there.

Inside is lots of other mini folders to put photos and fun stories in.  My manager
has been there for over 15 years now and I am sure this will barely cover any of it.
Guess i will have to make him part 2 when i get a chance :)

And here is another part of one of the folders.  I love to chop up the papers and
mix them and layer them.  You never know what you can create.

And lastly i used a trifold card for some of the insides to give me more space
for the pictures.  And then i added a few of the cards that come in the sets and also
added some punched Mickey's in black from an old punch in my stash.

I hope that you enjoyed my share today and be sure and hop on over to Barbara's
blog to see what she has to share with you today!! And if you just started here
is the links for all of us today so you can start at the beginning!

Have a very wonderful and creative day!!
